Welcome to the home page of Campbeltown Bowling Club, one of two clubs in the "Wee Toon" at the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula where you can still enjoy a game of bowls for £1.00 and a pint for less than £2.00. To get there turn left off Main Street into Argyll Street at the White Hart Hotel for 200 yards and there we are hidden behind the beautiful sycamore.
8th June 2006 is a day we are all looking forward to as this is the official date of our Centenary an event that will be duly celebrated with a major dinner and dance in the Victoria Hall on Saturday 10th June. The plans for this are well advanced and the event sold out its 300 tickets almost 1 year ago, not really surprising as the event, currently costing £14,000, will only cost the members £10.00 each and for this, they will each receive a miniature of whisky, a comprehensive programme including a history of the Club and the recollections of our oldest member, John McLachlan, and other souvenirs. Not content with this, the Centenary committee have events planned from January until the end of December that should ensure a very busy year.
Several souvenirs have been produced and these are shown on page 2 with details on how to purchase them.
